Quiet Street in Harrisonburg
A residential retreat space, The Soulence Space is guarded by two magnificent yellow maples trees, in front and behind. Entry door is separate from family’s main living area. Swing, climb, or sit under “Merta,” a tree that is considered one of the family. Shade or sun, and beauty in any season. A picnic table is available for eating, while the cardinals, blue jays, sparrows, and chickadees pass through. If you’re lucky, you may get a visit from the neighborhood hen and rooster.
Ten minute walk to downtown and a fifteen minute walk/five minute drive to Hillandale Park with wooded trails and a labyrinth. If the woods is your cathedral, there are many spots within Shenandoah National Park and George Washington National Forest. You will find a binder of information about local spots in the room.
The Soulence Space is a quiet, colorful room with a full size bed, nestling chair, dresser and closet. A yoga mat is provided. Retreatants will have their own key to the room, which can be locked from the inside.
Also part of the room is a small kitchenette area. Tea and snacks are provided, and retreatants will have use of a mini-fridge, microwave and toaster oven. The sink is a space to brush teeth or clean dishes.
Within the room is a lovely warm bathroom with a shower and toilet.
